NATIONAL VOTERS’ DAY, 2022
On 25th January 2022 at 11 A.M. on the occasion of National Voters' Day in the Teachers' Common Room, Dr. Ajit Borkotoky the principal of Beltola College and some of the faculties along with the students of Beltola College has assembled to celebrate the National Voters' Day. Kamaruj Jaman an assistant Professor from the Department of English as well as the Convener of the Electoral Literary Club of Beltola College has delivered the welcome speech. The Academic in-charge as well as the adviser of the Electoral Literary Club of Beltola College spoke about the importance of National Voters' Day celebration. He even urged the students to come forward to cast their votes in the Assembly Election and the Parliamentary Election. The Nodal officer of the Electoral Literary Club of Beltola College and an assistant Professor from the Department of Political Science, Mr. Arup Kalita spoke about the democratic right of an Indian citizen. He told the students that only the Indian Citizens has got the democratic right to cast votes. Dr. MrigendraNathSarma an assistant Professor from the Department of Assamese spoke about the value of vote and even told the students to aware about it to others. Before winding up the programme Himanshu Das an assistant Professor from the Department of Economics told the students to start the Electoral journey from the Beltola College Students Union Election itself. He even told that the students should make the habit of voting from the Beltola College Students' Union Election. Finally, the vote of thanks is offered by Arup Kalita to all who are present in today's programme.
